![]() The Tao also offers a restaurant selection of Asian fusion cuisine. The bar includes no seating and wraps around in a horseshoe shape, making it easy to order drinks. The seating is mostly open benches, which encourages mingling and talking, but there are some options of smaller tables. If you feel that there is not enough energy when you first arrive, stop, have something to eat, and wait a few hours. The music starts out quite soft earlier in the night, to cater to the restaurant clientele, and builds up as the night progresses, turning into more of a party atmosphere. The dance floor is reasonably sized, and when it's packed you will feel an atmosphere really getting going. It makes for perfect lounging to have a nice drink at the end of a long day, catch up with friends, or meet new people. The booths are fairly comfortable, upholstered in pleather and with plenty of room for individuals or groups to gather round or spread out, enjoying the environment as they please. The decor in Tao Club New York is basically a work of art in and of itself. ![]() The warmth of tea lights and chandeliers and the roughness of the bricks in this New York nightclub creates an amazing blend of textures and colours that will leave you wowed. Combining graffiti portraits of traditionally dressed East Asian women with club lighting and disco balls makes for an amazing environment. You will find the red and gold tones of the building from the outside quite inviting, and you will feel drawn inside. Both are ran by the same people and to the same standard, so where you go just depends on your personal preference or where you happen to be at the time. There are actually two Tao clubs, one uptown and one down town. I highly recommend booking a party through Birthday Bottle Service and I will heed my own advice and use them again.Tao Club in New York is an Asian bistro and nightclub. My table was waiting for me when we got there and I really did get 2 bottles of booze for the price of one bottle of booze (+ $50 tip for the free bottle) My husband got to celebrate and spoil all his friends and we looked like ballers, so it was a win-win-win. They set up my party at the Gansevoort and reconfirmed the day of. I emailed them and quickly got a response from Abe & Cristina. Nothing in NYC is free, ESPECIALLY alcohol. Thanks to to my mastery of the google machine I typed in "NYC birthday" and Birthday Bottle Service popped right up! I clicked on their website and was immediately awestruck- FREE BOTTLES- what?!? This can't be true. We don't go to many clubs these days so I didn't know where we should go and I really didn't want to pay for 10 other people to get drunk. I expected him to say he wanted to go for a nice dinner but instead he busted out "I wanna get a table somewhere and pay for all my friends to drink." Well shit! (only kidding!) ![]() ![]() I made the mistake of asking my husband what he wanted to do for his birthday. I'm excited to try different venues with the help of their amazing party planning!! I will definitely contact Christina and Abe again for another event. 4 bottles came out right away and our waitress was great and helpful when we requested different mixers. In fact they moved a party, cleaned up the tables, so they could accommodate us all with 2 adjoining tables within minutes. Luckily we did not need to use it! We arrived in the VIP line and was seated right away. Christina and Abe confirmed our party the day of and even provided us with a Customer Service number - God forbid anything went wrong the night of the party. Both had the buy 1 + get 1 free bottle special. As the guest list grew, we asked Christina for 2 tables next to each other at the Gansevoort. I was able to choose my venue from an extensive list. I contacted them and Christina responded within minutes. I simply Googled "birthdays in NYC" and Birthday Bottle Service came right up. Birthday Bottle Service was a success! I wanted to plan a special birthday celebration for my boyfriend.
